Four things that are always true

Getting in

01Signing in & the four screens

One login takes you straight into your campaign’s private space. You only ever see your own campaign.

  1. Go to swrm.dhpolitical.com in any browser — desktop or phone.
  2. Sign in with the email and password DHP gave you. You’ll stay signed in for about a month, so this is rarely more than a one-time step.
  3. You land in your campaign’s workspace, on the Schedule screen. Its name shows in the top-right. Every other campaign on Cadence is invisible to you — your content, assets, and schedule are yours alone.
  4. To change your password, click your initials (top-right) → Change password.

Everything lives on four screens, along the top:

  • 📅 Schedule — your home: everything queued, published, or failed, and where you cancel or move a post.
  • ✨ Create — where you make things: a Post, a single Graphic, or one From template.
  • Library — every asset you’ve made and every saved template, in one place.
  • Campaign — your profile: colors, fonts, voice, disclaimer, and photos.
Tip

Forgot your password? Your DHP contact can reset it in seconds — just ask.

Set up once

02Your Campaign profile

The Campaign screen is who Cadence posts as — your colors, fonts, voice, disclaimer, and photos. Everything you make pulls from it, so ten minutes here pays off on every post.

  1. On Campaign, paste your campaign website into the box and hit Analyze. Cadence reads the site and fills in your colors, fonts, vibe, brand voice, and Campaign Assets — candidate photos, family and community shots, event posters, endorsement art.
  2. Fine-tune anything: click a color swatch to change it, edit the fonts and vibe words, and rewrite the Brand Voice so captions sound like your candidate.
  3. Under Campaign Assets, add your own with + upload — headshots, event photos, an endorser’s portrait. These are the real images Cadence can drop into designs.
  4. Fill in the Paid-for Disclaimer — your “Paid for by [Committee]” line. Cadence adds it to every scheduled post automatically. If a specific item is genuinely exempt, tick the bypass box on that item.
Required

You can’t schedule anything until a disclaimer is in place (or the item is marked exempt). Set it here once and you’re covered for everything.

Good to know

Your profile saves the moment you edit it. Re-running Analyze on the same site never wipes your disclaimer or the assets you’ve added — it only refreshes the basics. Point it at a different site and it starts clean.

Make something

03Create — posts, graphics & templates

The Create screen is one place with three ways in, along the top: Post, Graphic, and From template. Pick the one that fits what you need.

Post a topic → finished posts

  1. In “What should we post about?”, describe the angle — an event, an endorsement, an issue, a milestone. Quick-start chips (Meet & greet, Town hall, Endorsement, GOTV, and more) drop a starting point in for you.
  2. Pick a formatSingle (one image + caption; best for Facebook), Carousel (a multi-slide swipe, best on Instagram), or Video (a short reel) — choose Publish to, and set how many Ideas you want (1–9). Then hit Generate ideas.
  3. Cadence writes each one: a concept, an editable caption, hashtags, and a slide plan. On an idea you like, hit Make image (or Make video).
  4. Hit Open to review the full carousel or video, polish the caption, then pick a date & time and Schedule — see §04.

Graphic one on-brand image, fast

  1. Pick a categoryEvent Flyer, Get Out the Vote, Endorsement, Where I Stand, Meet the Candidate, or Volunteer — and a format (Square 1:1 or Story 9:16).
  2. Write the prompt: describe the graphic — the event, the details, the ask. Each category shows an example to copy the shape of. Hit Generate image.
  3. On the result: write the Caption / narrative (the words that post alongside it — especially on Facebook), pick a time, and Schedule this image — or Download to use elsewhere. It’s also saved to your Library automatically.
Know this

The prompt is a brief, not the exact text that lands on the image — you describe the post and Cadence designs it on-brand. The more specific you are with dates, names, and quotes, the more closely they render. For a design that must be identical every time, use a template (next).

From template locked design, details change

  1. Pick a saved template and type what details change (new date, venue, name), then Generate. The layout, fonts, and design stay pixel-consistent — only the details you named move. For endorsements, attach a Person photo and Cadence swaps the portrait into the same spot.
  2. No template yet? Hit + Upload a template and upload a finished, on-brand graphic exactly as it is — your “Check-in with Chuck” poster, a standard endorsement card. Give it a name and a note on which details usually change; it becomes your reusable master.
  3. Or hit ✦ New from Campaign kit to invent a fresh on-brand graphic from scratch — the same as Graphic above.
Tip

Every caption is a strong first draft, not a final word. Read it in the candidate’s voice and make it yours before scheduling.

Publish & stay in control

04Schedule & publishing

The 📅 Schedule screen is your home and your control tower — the answer to “where did that post go, and can I stop it?” It’s the first thing you see when you sign in.

  1. To schedule: on any finished post or image, pick a Schedule for date & time (your local time), then Schedule. You get a Queued ✓ confirmation and land on Schedule so you can see it sitting there immediately.
  2. Upcoming lists everything waiting to publish — thumbnail, caption, which page, and “Posts [day, time].” Each has two controls:
    • Cancel — pulls it from the queue so it will not publish.
    • Reschedule — pick a new date/time right there; it moves instantly.
  3. Published & history shows what already went out: ✓ Published (links to the live post), × Failed (with the reason), ⊘ Canceled, or ❓ unconfirmed (hit ↻ Refresh to recheck). A badge on the Schedule tab shows how many posts are waiting.
The promise

Nothing publishes by surprise. If it’s scheduled, it’s in Upcoming — findable and cancelable — right up until the moment it posts. You never touch anything outside Cadence to manage it.

Tip

You can schedule up to about nine months ahead. Times always show in your own local timezone, labeled so there’s no guesswork.

Reuse & keep everything

05Your Library

The Library screen keeps everything you’ve made, per campaign, on two shelves — Assets and Templates.

Assets nothing gets lost

Every image you generate anywhere in Cadence saves here automatically, tied to your campaign. Make twenty flyers and all twenty are waiting for you. On any asset you can Open it (loads it with a caption box and scheduler), ↓ Download it, or 🗑 Delete it.

Templates design stays identical, details change

Your saved master graphics. + Upload template stores a finished, on-brand design exactly as-is; from then on you reuse it under Create → From template, changing only the details. Delete any you no longer need.

Rule of thumb

Recurring look, same every time (a weekly event series)? Use a template. Want something new invented on-brand? Use Create → Graphic.

What’s included & what it costs

06Your creative allowance

The chip in the top-right (for example $6 / $25) shows your campaign’s image & video generation this month against what’s included — so you always know exactly where you stand. Click it any time for the full breakdown.

  1. Every campaign includes $25 of image & video generation each month. Writing posts, editing captions, browsing your library, and scheduling are always free — only generating images and videos draws down the $25.
  2. When you reach $25, a quick one-time acknowledgment appears (like Claude’s): it confirms that from here generation is billed as overage, at our exact cost, and shows when your allowance resets. Accept it once and you keep working for the rest of the month — no more prompts.
  3. There’s also a $5/day ceiling per campaign as a simple runaway guard. It’s far above normal use, resets at midnight UTC, and only ever affects your own campaign — never anyone else’s.
  4. You only ever see your own campaign’s number.
Straight talk on overage

Overage is billed at our exact cost — dollar for dollar, no markup, no margin. Generation isn’t a profit center for us and we’re not going to nickel-and-dime you on it. You pay precisely what the AI costs; if you ran these same tools on your own account you’d pay the very same rate — there is no cheaper way to do this. The difference with Cadence is that it’s already wired into your brand, your pages, and your schedule.

Stretch it further

Locked templates are the most economical path — reusing a saved design is one quick render. Lean on them for anything recurring.

Field notes

07Good habits & quick fixes

  1. Set up your Campaign profile first. Everything downstream inherits it — colors, voice, disclaimer, photos.
  2. Always edit the caption. The AI draft is a running start; the last 10% is what makes it sound like your candidate.
  3. Check the disclaimer note in the schedule panel before you commit — green means it’ll be added.
  4. Let renders run. Images take roughly 30–90 seconds; the spinner is real progress, not a hang.
  5. “Leave a prompt first”? You hit Generate before describing the post. Add your brief in the prompt box and go.
  6. Can’t find a post you scheduled? It’s on the 📅 Schedule screen → Upcoming. Cancel or reschedule it there.
  7. Something looks off in a template render? Regenerate it — and for a design that must stay identical every time, lean on a locked template rather than a fresh generation.
Still stuck?

Your DHP account contact is one message away — password resets, a page that isn’t connected yet, or anything that doesn’t look right.
